Why do I need an EPC before getting my Solar Panels?
The introduction of mandatory EPCs is being made to ensure that homes are already efficient before installing solar panels. It makes sense to insulate before you generate.
To qualify for the higher rate feed in tariff, you will need to possess a Level D certificate. If you do not have a Level D EPC, this will affect the Feed In Tariff you receive.

EPC House provide EPC assessments throughout the UK for Solar PV installers from March. Every assessment will reach a level D with complimentary free measures including cavity wall and loft insulation, or there is no cost to you.
EPC will be completed within 7 days guaranteed and all associated measures within 14 days to allow you to install your solar PV panels and systems. The service will be run in conjunction with TLS Discounts our sister consumer discount scheme. The service will provide you.

Cost for each EPC is £150 + vat payable with the TLS discounts homeowner money saving card. There are no minimum order quantities and all cards must be ordered on a pre-pay basis. Any home that cannot be brought up to a level D will be provided free of charge. (Subject to survey)
Cavity wall and loft insulation will be provided free of charge where required as part
of the service.
