Domestic EPC

When a property is sold, let or rented an EPC must be provided by the vendor or landlord by law. Domestic property owners may be considering micro generation projects such as solar, wind turbines, heat pumps or biomass and from April 1st 2012 will require an energy rating D or above to claim the FIT. It makes sense to repair the holes in the bucket before you start filling it with water, insulate before you generate and reduce before you produce. An energy assessment and EPC are the first steps which will highlight area's where you can make low cost energy savings such as insulating walls and loft before generating your own electric through solar or wind generation.
